Victoria College’s Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts is accepting proposals for its fall 2015 film discussion series. Proposals for films and moderators will be accepted through July 15, 2015.
Thought-provoking films from today, and classics from the past are screened as part of the series. The cinema events include introductions by an informed moderator, a movie viewing, and opportunities for the audience to participate in a discussion about the movie.
Past movies screened in the discussion series include “The Grand Budapest Hotel” (2014), “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” (1961), “The Overnighters” (2014), “The Monuments Men” (2014), “The Color Purple” (1985), and “Blue Ruin” (2013).
Community members, film industry professionals, and Victoria College students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate in the selection process.
Proposal forms can be found here or visit the center’s management office to pick up a form.
The Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts is located at 214 N. Main St. in historic downtown Victoria.
